Small-space permaculture is not a watered-down version of the discipline; it is its tightest, most efficient expression, where every square foot has to earn its keep.

Permaculture is a design system, not a planting style. Sketch your space. Track sun position at three times of day across at least three days. Note wind patterns, water flow, and the spots you actually walk past most often. Identify "edges" (the boundary where two surfaces meet, balcony rail meets sky, paving meets soil) because edges are the most productive part of any ecosystem.
Define zones and place high-frequency crops nearest
